Suffusion, a new book by Anne-Sophie Pic, is the ten-Michelin-starred chef’s invitation to journey with her to the very heart of her work: to the art practiced in her kitchens, her art of cooking, an approach to cuisine in which each individual recipe is meticulously assembled in the manner of a fine perfume. Part recipe book, part art book, it offers a rare peek into Anne-Sophie Pic’s world – her style, her philosophy of cooking, her flavor pairings, her playful approach to texture, the unique light that inhabits her creations. It took two years to produce this singular work, whose design is a faithful translation – a kind of distillation – of her elegant, complex sensibilities.
